Hydro Group Systems in Largo Florida is proud to present its newest testing capability - on-site large volume Hydrostatic Pressure Vessel. The vessel will allow for testing of large cable assemblies, connectors and hull penetrators along with any other items that may require pressure testing representative of ocean depths.

The pressure vessel will allow us to carry out qualification testing and production FATs on electrical, hybrid and optical connectivity systems for subsea communications and power. In essence, the pressure vessel will simulate the extreme underwater conditions that products endure subsea, including seawater and silt agitation. Ultimately, we will be able to test the subsea integrity, performance and functionality of every product during live electrical testing.

The investment will directly benefit existing clients in the USA, whilst increasing our global capabilities in optical and electrical pressure testing, in particular to support defence clients. The increased level of testing will also be used to validate our in-house moulding process for all subsea cable assemblies.

Our trained technicians are fully certified and able to undertake hydraulic, hydrostatic, helium pressure testing and SF6 gas testing. We can also arrange to have the tests witnessed by several third-party verification companies including Lloyds, DNV and ABS."
